Kasubi royal tombs restoration project

The Buganda kingdom is in the process of prequalifying eligible and competent building and civil engineering firms of contractors who will be invited to submit bids for the 1st phase of the Kasubi royal tombs restoration project. The kingdom invites prequalification application for the project from the interested building and civil engineering contractors.

Kasubi tombs to be reconstructed

The sources say that the works of the 1st phase of the Kasubi royal tombs restoration project will be in respect of the construction of the damaged structure of Muzibu Azaala Mpanga and covering the following key activities: the construction of the entire structure including thatching, restoration of all floors, inner ceiling lining works, and replacement of doors and windows.

It will be necessary that the selected contractor engages nominated sub contractors for the execution of the culturally designated works, but such culturally designated sub contractors will be under the management of the main contractor.  We have learnt that the details of the project may be inspected at Bulange building, Kampala.
