Uganda fails to pay Eriya Kategaya’s hospital bills to Kenya

We are told that it is true. The government of Uganda reportedly failed to pay Kenya the hospital bills of Hon Eriya Kategaya. The Hospital bills in Nairobi were paid for by the deceased’s family friend.

However, the NRM Government spent about 2 Billion Uganda shillings for his burial ceremony. But some Ugandans wish out of the Shs 2bn NRM could have spared UgShs 1.5 billion to buy a CTScan and Incubators to save lives of babies at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

The good news is that Kategaya died a corruption free man but some people say that the thieving habit of some NRM Government officials reportedly forced them to pump that much money into his grave construction which himself refused to steal in his life.

The First Deputy Minister and childhood friend of President Museveni died in a Nairobi hospital this week. He died at the age of 70 from a suspected blood clot in one of his legs. Museveni and late Kategaya met at Ntare School and later proceeded to Dar-es-Salaam University in Tanzania where they hatched plans for an armed liberation.
