Causes of memory problems
Doctors at Mulago hospital say that to some people memory problems are just part of what used to be called senility, an unfortunate or natural part of old age.
The causes of memory problems are poor diet especially the one that is high in fats and low in nutrients, free radices, inactivity, both physical and mental.
Other causes of memory problems are medications, abuse of alcohol or street drug, underlying disorders such as candidacies, heavy mental poisoning, depression, dementia, thyroid disorders and hypoglycemia.
Some doctors also say that memory problems can be caused by nutritional deficiencies, especially of DHA, vitamin b12 and folic acid.
